ABOUT ANGELA

Angela is a herpetologist that has broad interests revolving around ecology, conservation, reproductive biology and embryonic development. Angela's educational background, includes a Bachelor of Science (Wildlife and Conservation Biology) at La Trobe University with honours investigating the matrix influence on post-fire faunal recovery. And a Masters of Research at Macquarie University on the ecology of the Critically Endangered Sulawesi forest turtle (pictured left).
Currently, Angela is a PhD candidate at La Trobe University, where her research revolves around freshwater turtles of the Murray-Darling Basin. The objective of her research is to optimise a headstarting program for the declining turtle populations of the Murray-Darling Basin. Angela also has a wide skillset from various roles she has worked in the conservation industry such as bush regeneration/land management, science education and ecological consulting.
